TYJF holds statewide meeting in Hyderabad; key resolutions announced — 10 Sept 2025

Hyderabad, 10 September 2025: The Telangana Youth Journalists Federation (TYJF) held a statewide meeting in Hyderabad today, bringing together representatives from all 33 district units to review member welfare, newsroom safety, and professional development plans for the year.



Highlights



  • Adoption of a Journalist Safety & Field Protocol to be shared with all units.

  • Launch of a Member Welfare Support Desk for emergency assistance and legal guidance.

  • Publication of a 2025–26 Training Calendar covering media law, digital security, and fact-checking.

  • Rollout of a unified Membership Verification (QR) update across districts.



Participation


More than 250 delegates attended the meeting, including unit convenors, senior editors, and photojournalists. Sessions focused on ground reporting challenges, accreditation processes, and collaboration with civic agencies during public events.

Next steps



  • District-level workshops begin from October 2025 (schedule to be circulated to units).

  • Welfare Support Desk helpline goes live from 15 September 2025.

  • Updated membership cards to be issued after unit verification windows.
